Get Involved

As a private, non-profit organization, TreePennsylvania relies on grants to conduct our programs and cover general operating expenses. After decades of receiving funds from the U.S. Forest Service, beginning in fiscal year 2026, we will not receive any funds to cover our general operating expenses. This impacts our ability to manage grant programs, provide scholarships, and survive as a non-profit organization. We need your help!

Ways that YOU can get involved :

  • Call or write to your U.S. House of Representative to share the importance of urban and community forestry in your area.
  • Share the importance of urban forestry on your social media pages.
  • Share information about TreePennsylvania and how our programs have improved your communities.
  • Consider providing a financial (tax deductible) donation to TreePennsylvania.

How Has TreePennsylvania Impacted Urban Forestry in 2024?

  • Over 130 community-led plantings
  • Provided more than 1,500 trees throughout the Commonwealth
  • Engaged over 200 volunteers
  • Helped dramatically expand urban forestry throughout PA

    • $1,500 provides 10 trees to a PA community
    • $3,000 provides 20 trees to a PA community
  • Scholarship Program
    • $150 provides conference registration for a scholarship awardee
  • General Operating
    • $15 provides one month of website hosting

Donations of any amount are always welcome and we deeply appreciate your generosity.
